FAQ

Frequently asked questions

We know selling or partnering in a business is a significant decision. Below are answers to the questions we hear most from owners.

What types of businesses do you invest in?

We focus on established service businesses, particularly those that operate in industrial, environmental, infrastructure, and field-based sectors. These are businesses where execution matters and where long-term relationships drive value.

What size companies are you looking for?

We typically look for small to mid-sized businesses with a strong operating foundation. More important than size is consistency, reputation, and a business model that can support long-term growth.

Do you take a controlling interest?

In most cases, yes. We prefer to take a controlling stake so we can actively support and help grow the business. That said, we structure each transaction based on what makes sense for the owner and the company.

Will I have to stay involved after the sale?

That depends on your goals. Some owners stay involved for a transition period, while others remain in a leadership role longer term. We work with each owner to create a structure that fits their timeline.

What happens to my employees?

Our goal is to support and strengthen the businesses we acquire — and that includes the people who make them work. We value existing teams and focus on creating stability and long-term opportunity.

Will you change the name or brand of my company?

In most cases, no. We respect what has already been built. If a company has a strong name and reputation, we preserve it and build on that foundation.

How are you different from private equity firms?

We are operators first. We invest our own capital and take a hands-on approach to building businesses over time. Our focus is on long-term growth and operational improvement, not short-term financial engineering.

What does your involvement look like after acquisition?

We stay actively involved where it adds value. That can include supporting operations, investing in equipment and systems, expanding service lines, and helping leadership teams scale the business.

How long do you typically hold investments?

We take a long-term approach. We are not driven by a fixed timeline and focus instead on building durable, growing businesses.

Do you keep discussions confidential?

Yes. We understand the importance of confidentiality and handle all conversations with discretion. Every inquiry receives a confidential reply within one business day.

Where do you invest?

We primarily focus on businesses in the South and Central United States — Arkansas, Texas, and the surrounding region — with flexibility depending on the opportunity.
